About the Role
As Retail Manager, you’ll be responsible for the successful daily operation of our Oakleigh South outlet, ensuring it meets financial, service, and quality goals. This role aligns with Retail Manager duties, requiring a strong blend of operational oversight, team leadership, and hands-on customer service.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service orientation
- Proficiency in inventory, budgeting and merchandising
- Good problem solving, time-management, and adaptability
- Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to drive sales performance and manage team accountability
- Highly organised with excellent planning and execution capabilities
- Demonstrated experience in successfully planning and executing in-store events such as product tastings or customer appreciation events

Task & responsibilities
- Managing and supervising the end-to-end daily operations of the Oakleigh South outlet to ensure optimal service delivery, operational efficiency, and adherence to organisational standards.
- Coordinating workforce planning, including the recruitment, onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance management of staff to cultivate a high-performing and customer-focused team.
- Analysing sales metrics, formulating and executing strategic initiatives to achieve revenue objectives, and identifying opportunities for sustainable business growth.
- Managing inventory and supply chain processes by forecasting demand, placing procurement orders, ensuring timely replenishment, and implementing measures to minimise wastage and shrinkage.
- Overseeing merchandising, store presentation, and promotional campaigns to enhance customer engagement and maximise commercial appeal.
- Delivering exemplary customer service, promptly addressing enquiries and resolving complex complaints to preserve and strengthen customer loyalty.
- Administering financial management processes, including budget preparation, expenditure control, and the accurate maintenance of sales, expense, and profitability records.
- Ensuring rigorous compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, food safety legislation, and internal governance policies.
- Compiling and presenting detailed operational and financial reports, accompanied by recommendations for process optimisation, service excellence, and performance enhancement.
Qualification & experience
Qualifications
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or higher
Experience:
- Demonstrated leadership in a retail or fast-food environment, managing staff, budgets, and daily operations.
- 1 year of relevant retail management experience
