We are currently seeking experienced and qualified Vehicle Body Builder to join our team. Responsibilities: In general, the employee is required to perform tasks in collision damaged trucks and trailers Detailed Tasks/Duties:
- Read and interpret job orders given by the workshop manager.
These includes:
- Construct truck body framework sections in metal, wood, fibreglass and other materials using shaping machines and cutting and welding equipment.
- Set up and operate welding equipment to complete welding tasks
- Cut, roll, shape, mould, spin, heat or hammer metal products to fabricate parts
- Bolt, screw, rivet and weld sections together to build complete frameworks
- Attach panels to framework using appropriate equipment
- Replace or repair non engine vehicle parts
- Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing or bathing them in acidic solutions
- Measure quality of fabricated parts or sub-assemblies
- Mark out metal stock with reference points and lines and make templates

- Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
