About The Role
As the Test Manager at ACS, you will lead a small team of Senior Testers in overseeing all testing activities within the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure releases are fit for purpose and associated risks are minimised. Furthermore, you will promote Quality Assurance throughout all areas related to Project Delivery and BAU.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be expected to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your team, actively contributing to the planning and execution of testing activities. You’ll combine strategic oversight with practical delivery to uplift testing capability, embed quality into our technology initiatives, and support the successful delivery of key programs.
Key Accountability
Lead, manage and grow the testing team, ensuring QA standards are maintained with current best practice.Develop and continuously improve on a comprehensive testing roadmap, including testing artefacts and strategies for automation, manual, performance, soak, penetration, SIT, end-to-end, and UAT testing.Advocate a culture of quality, working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is a shared responsibility.Ensure the proper setup of test environments, allocate resources effectively, and manage testing infrastructure.Oversee the planning, development, and execution of test plans, ensuring alignment with business requirements and quality goals.Provide regular status updates and test results to project teams and management, ensuring transparency and clear communication on progress and outcomes.

Successful delivery of testing phases according to the defined roadmap and timelines.Reduced number of critical defects post-release due to effective testing.Successful risk mitigation and minimal disruptions during testing.Clear and timely communication with stakeholders regarding test progress and results.Continuous improvements in testing efficiency and effectiveness, reflected in overall project quality.Positive feedback from teams on the management and execution of testing strategies.
About You
You're an experienced and collaborative Test Manager who brings both strategic thinking and practical delivery. You can manage multiple testing priorities while empowering your team, improving processes, and ensuring quality results.
Your Background Includes
5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.Proven ability to lead QA efforts across agile and hybrid environments.Strong understanding of modern testing approaches and tools, including JIRA, Confluence, with Xray or AccelQ experience highly regarded.Experience across various testing types including automation, UAT, performance, and security.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.A proactive mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities.
