KONVEX is looking for several mechanical rack fitters for our lastest project in Ravenhall, Melbourne, Australia.
Duties will include a range of mechanical technician duties including but not limited to:
- Inspection and laser measuring of warehouse slabs
- Unloading and organization of overseas installation material and identifying specific parts for assembly
- Using scissor lifts, forklifts and jib crane for Installation of specialized precision GtP racking according to layout and installation drawings. Ingress of lift motors and lift profiles
- Installation of shuttle rails
- Communication and alignment with in rack sprinkler installation
- Installation of safety fencing at the around and on top of the racking
- Installation of maintenance access walkways and access ladders according to design specifications and layout
- Installation of mezzanines and staircases according to specifications
- Communication with automation installation team and third party equipment provider
- Maintaining company equipment and property
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Diploma level qualification or three years of relevant work experience

KONVEX STORAGE SYSTEMS, S.L., company owned by Juan Meca Pérez-Muelas, dedicated to the manufacture and installation of metal racking. There are several types of metal racking systems that we design, manufacture, and assemble, for example pallet racks, mezzanines, etc.
Specifically, KONVEX STORAGE SYSTEMS, S.L. is dedicated to the design of the metallic structures especially conceived for our client. It is a complex installation process because of the tolerances and the different pieces that it contains, so it is not a standard racking system such as a pallet rack, mezzanine, etc.
KNAPP Australia Pty Ltd has hired KONVEX for the assemble the systems manufactured exclusively for its client.
There needs to be strict communication between the Project Manager (who has also helped with the design of this product) and the Spanish technicians, so that the assembly is being carried out perfectly.
This is important since this system has been prepared specifically for this company and can only be coordinated, supervised, and assembled by certain people of our own company. Our assembly team leaders and installers have experience in assembling these types of specialized structures.
