Full time, fixed term until 30 April 2027Opportunity for an enthusiastic Outreach and Access Officer to support the delivery of a tailored and seamless widening participation and outreach programBase Salary $99K + 17% superannuation About the opportunity We are seeking an ambitious Outreach and Access Officer to join the Future Students team, to create and deliver engaging content for events and workshops held on and off campus to attract and support the access of a diverse mix of high school students to the University Sydney. Working closely with various team members in the Domestic Recruitment and Access team, you will deliver high quality and thoughtful service to career advisers and high school students ensuring activities and presentations are engaging and delivered to a high standard. In this varied and fast paced role, your exceptional task and relationship management skills will be utilised to deliver projects, events and high school engagements. The Outreach and Access Officer presents as a fantastic opportunity by exposing you to a variety of functions across the team including events, reporting, managing and developing relationships with high school career advisers, advising prospective students and developing high school presentations. Due to the nature of the seasonality of workflow there will be a need to work flexibly throughout the year, including some weekend and evening work and there will be leave restrictions applied during the peak period. About youexcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver presentations, facilitate engaging workshops, and draft content for a diverse range of events/audiences (particularly high school students)flexibility in organisation, project management, planning and reporting skills in order to balance competing agendas and demands in a fast paced, time pressured environment.experience in developing content with the aim of engaging students, career counselling or building skills and capacity of high school studentsknowledge and or an interest in higher education and pathways for prospective students or the ability to develop and understand complex information such as the University's range of courses and admissions criteriathe ability to work both independently and as part of a team, can take initiative, exercise sound judgement and resolve matters that may arisehas a valid NSW driver's licence and is comfortable driving around Sydney and beyondhighly developed stakeholder management skills and tactful communications skills.
