Task & responsibilities
- Assist with personal Care such as showering, dressing, and toileting in a respectful, person-centred manner.
- Support Clients with health-related needs under guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse
- Help with mobilioty and transfers
- Provide assistance with meals and hydration
- Prompt or assist with medications in accordance with care plans and organisational policy
- Observe and report changes in health or behaviour to the supervising Registered Nurse
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of care, incidents, and client progress.
- Support participation in community, recreational, and socila activities
- Promote a safe and hygienic environment
- Offer emotional support and companionship
- Respect confidentiality and privacy and uphold client dignity at all times.
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, allied health professionals, families and other team members.
Qualification & experience
- Certificate-III in Healthcare Assistance or relevant field
- 12 months full time work experience in the relevant field.
- Current Manual handling
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current National Police Check
- Current NDIS worker screening check
- Valid Australian Driver's licence
- Current Working with Children Check
