The Role
Genus Infrastructure are seeking an Electrical Site/Construction Manager to join our Major Projects team in Western Australia. This is a key position responsible for overseeing daily site activities, ensuring that project timelines and budgets are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Project Overview
Genus has been awarded a landmark contract by Western Power for the Clean Energy Link – North Region project. The project will include new 330kV & 132kV terminal builds within the existing network footprint to significantly increase transmission capacity and enable new energy sources to come online, as well as existing line conversions and reinforcement work to significantly improve the flow of renewable energy to and from the area.
Working Hours/ Roster
- 2 weeks on / 1 week off
- Up to 12 hours a day
- Permanent fulltime position
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Electrical Site/Construction Manager's responsibilities will include: - Maintain and update project schedules, reports, and documentation.
- Assist with permits, compliance paperwork, and approvals.
- Track budgets, invoices, and procurement orders.
- Support the Construction Manager in planning and logistics
- Act as a liaison between the office, site teams, clients, and contractors.
- Organise meetings, briefings, and progress updates.
- Handle correspondence, reports, and updates for stakeholders.
- Ensure project information flows efficiently between teams.
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment logistics.
- Track site labour, subcontractor schedules, and workforce requirements.
- Assist with rosters, accommodations (for FIFO workers), and travel arrangements.
- Manage inventory, supplies, and procurement requests.
- Ensure workplace health & safety (WHS) documentation is up to date.
- Assist in incident reporting and compliance tracking.
- Assist in implementing safety training, toolbox talks, and compliance audits.
- Management of site white- and blue-collar resources.
Essential Skills / Qualifications/Experience - Qualifications in Supervision / Frontline Leadership / or relevant experience
- Trade Certificate in relevant Field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in achieving performance goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams of internal and sub-contract teams.
- Good judgement and decision making.
- High level communication including active listening skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage with technical working groups

- Ability to manage people and solve problems.
- Knowledge of construction project workflows and site operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Aconex, or similar).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
