Disability Support Worker (Children and Young People)

Alliance Community are a NDIS registered service provider specialising in delivering quality, individualised and flexible support services to the elderly, mental health clients, young and old people living with a disability. We also provide a broad range of services to clients outside the NDIS including Aged Care. 

Alliance Community are looking for a team of Disability Support Staff to work with a very special child (11years) whom resides with his mother and brother in the inner northern suburbs. 

This child is non-verbal and requires suctioning and is PEG fed, and as such we require only experienced staff to apply. Client specific PEG training will be offered however experience with Dysphagia is required. 

Mum is looking for someone who can match their happy, crazy and fast-moving environment! You will be become part of their daily life. Assisting them outings, occasional family trips and even attending our own Alliance Community worker and client parties! 

In addition you will assist Mum with daily household tasks like washing, cleaning, appointments, shopping, cooking/meal preparation.

Shifts range from:
0700 – 0900: Morning Personal Care / School drop off
1030 – 1800: Monday to Friday daily supports / school pickup & after school care / Friday Hydro

We do of course have other clients looking for supports and we would love to discuss these with you too ! So we would love support workers to come on board with us either casually or permanent depending on your preference. 

It is essential you have a Cert 3 in Individual Support – Certificate 4 in Disability will be highly regarded.

Working with Children’s Check and NDISWC.

Child safe Environments (through their eyes (or willing to obtain).

Other current training certificates including First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling.
