About Howden

We are part of the Howden Broking Group, the world's largest privately owned insurance broker, headquartered in London. Since launching Howden in the Pacific region in March 2021, we have grown from a team of three to over 450 employees across Australia and New Zealand.

Our mantra is to be People First. We believe you can teach someone new skills, but not how to be a different person. We offer a chance to join a rapidly growing business at an exciting time, with a genuinely collegiate culture and highly engaged team.

The opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and experienced digital marketer who is switched on to all forms of social and digital media, extremely creative with a passion for managing campaigns and delivering results.

You will need to be comfortable educating stakeholders on the value of good content and work with them to create content and campaigns, seek approvals, and meet deadlines. This role will be focussed on our Commercial, Affinity, Sport & Entertainment and Private Client Division including Consumer digital.

The successful candidate will require excellent communication and written skills with a track-record of delivering business value.

This is a great opportunity to secure a role within an exciting, rapidly growing segment and organisation. Responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the marketing team and business divisions to bring campaign concepts and ideas to life

  • Create and edit campaigns and content, and share best practice for our social media channels and websites

  • Ensure all content is fully optimised for search engines, following the latest in best practice and user experience

  • Provide insight into what type of content works on various social / digital platforms

  • Implement and report on KPIs for all content created to support regional marketing and sales objectives

  • Analyse data and analytics insights to design, manage and optimise campaigns experience through a 'test and learn' approach

  • Maximise brand visibility through SEO content, resulting in increased organic site traffic

Let’s talk about you

We are growing rapidly so you will need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and taking on multiple challenges and projects, sometimes without much notice.

Your experience will be:

  • Self-motivated and proactive with a good sense of ownership, able to work well under pressure, with others and prioritise tasks and adapt to last minute requests

  • Strong command of the English language with excellent written, editing and proofreading skills - detail-oriented

  • Excellent stakeholder management with strong communication and influencing skills

  • Experience in digital content creation and editing, underpinned with a thorough understanding of on-page SEO

  • Good all-round digital marketing and communications experience, including awareness of best practices and standards such as accessibility, usability, SEO and other web standards.

  • Experience working with a CMS such as Drupal

  • Experience in Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud and managing this in a BAU capacity, across all modules including Content Builder, Journey Builder and Email Studio Experience and appropriate use of data extensions.

  • Proficient in the use of digital tools like Google Analytics and interpreting data to turn it into actionable insight to improve the customer experience

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier Pro)

  • Experience in a MS Windows environment and a high proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role

Just as importantly, you will be someone who embodies our cultural values: Put people first, be authentic, challenge complacency, think client, pursue excellence and be keen to make your mark.

Remuneration and benefits

In addition to competitive remuneration, we offer free salary continuance insurance and our industry-leading bonus leave benefit, where employees can qualify for up to two weeks' additional paid leave each year.
