SmartCare Diagnostics is a modern privately owned full-service diagnostic clinic offering cardiac, respiratory, and sleep testing services. We now have 3 testing locations in Springfield Lakes, Upper Mt Gravatt and North Lakes. We are in the process of three satellite clinics, including a location in Taringa.

Our friendly experienced team includes Emergency, Cardiology and Respiratory Specialist Practitioners, Sonographers, Nurses and Administrative staff.

The Role

We are seeking a Cardiac technician to work between ALL sites, including our Upper Mount Gravatt, Springfield, and North Lakes clinic and future clinics once a week/ as required, depending on contract.

Qualifications & experience

Our ideal candidate for this position would be a Cardiac Technician or University student currently studying Medical/ Science based course to perform ECG's, fit Holter and ambulatory blood pressure monitors to patients.

Experience not essential as full training and support will be provided but excellent customer service and confidence using multiple software programs would be highly regarded. Training for this role will be provided.

Candidates who have experience in interpreting ECG's is ideal.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Gathering patient clinical history.
• Performing ECG and taking BP readings.
• Attaching and uploading Holter and blood pressure monitors and analyzing their data.
• Following up and reviewing patient results.
• Trouble shooting, assessing and sending for service repair ECG, Holter's and BP monitors.
• Assisting in Exercise Stress Tests and other in clinic tests.
• Ensuring reports are sent off to referrers in a timely manner.
• Fitting home based sleep study monitors.
