Task & responsibilities
Eligible candidate will be meeting following criteria:
Able to perform:
- Research customer demands and trends
- Manage and analyze stock levels and order points
- Obtain information about fast-moving and slow-moving goods
- Consider which goods will sell well and what prices customers are prepared to pay
- Try to anticipate changes in customer demand for particular goods
- Inspect, compare and select goods for re-selling
- Contact suppliers to replenish stocks
- Communicate frequently with management to discuss planning, budgeting, sales promotions and advertising campaigns
Qualification & experience
Possess following attributes:
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in retail buying
- Minimum a Diploma level of qualification in retail merchandising
- Proficient user of Microsoft office suite
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to use data to drive business decisions
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong commercial skills and ability to interpret the market quickly
