Assistant Print Operator

FlameStop Australia is the largest independent fire equipment manufacturer and wholesaler in the country.  With 14 national distribution centres located throughout Australia and New Zealand, we have operating for over 30 years with great success.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic team member that is fast to learn on the job, to join us in our Loganholme Branch. 

This is a new and rare opportunity for someone who is seeking to gain further experience and grow within a market leading business.

The role is a permanent fulltime position working Monday - Friday.  No weekend / Public Holiday work. Part time hours will be considered. 

About the role 

Reporting to the Manager some of the duties and responsibilities will include: 

• Helping to create and email, digital PDF proofs using Adobe software.
• Maintain effective communication with the Sales Team, Warehouse and Print Room Team.
• Review and prepare files for printing, ensuring specifications like size, colour, and resolution are correct.
• Assist with quality checks throughout the production process to ensure a consistent quality output.
• Help troubleshoot printer issues and make adjustments to ensure smooth production.
• Assist with the set-up, operation, and maintenance of digital printing equipment to produce high-quality print products.
• Running routine maintenance and supply inventory to keep operations and machines running efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines of live jobs

About you 

• Have a basic understanding of digital large format printing. Full training will be given.
• Have a reasonable working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop 
• Have competent Microsoft Windows computer skills, demonstrating good file management and email communication.
• Ability to multi task and adapt in a fast paced production setting 
• Your ability to learn quickly ‘’on the job’’ is an important asset to have for this role. Full training will be given.
