The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is currently seeking applications for an Executive Support Officer to join the Executive team. 

This flexible position can be located in Canberra or Melbourne and is full-time, ongoing. 

Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is APS5 - $85,755 - $91,809 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.

About the opportunity:

The Executive Support Officer, will provide day-to-day executive support to the Chief Corporate Officer and other Senior Executives as required. Working closely with other Executive Support Officers, the role will manage the workflow of activities that support government, parliamentary and stakeholder liaison. 

The role is responsible for: 

  • Executive Support: Provide day-to-day executive support to Senior Executives, including supporting training, meetings, travel arrangements, and providing information as required. Contribute to the development and delivery of effective service delivery strategies consistent with the needs of internal users and the Tribunal’s statutory and other objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to effectively contribute to the effective functioning of the Tribunal.
  • Innovation and Change: Adopt new or changed ways of working and generate solutions to enhance the Tribunal’s capacity for providing consistent, high-quality and accessible services to users. 
  • Project coordination: Understand the needs and requirements of the SES Officer and undertake the work necessary to ensure goals are achieved and deadlines are met and changes are considered.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain productive relationships with senior stakeholders, work collaboratively to achieve outcomes, and manage sensitive issues effectively.
  • Well-developed ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to negotiate and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Well-developed ability to manage competing and changing priorities in a complex environment, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly gain knowledge of, the operations, caseload, and legislative and policy frameworks of the Tribunal.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and approaches and adopt a positive approach to dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity.

Essential: 

  • Baseline Security Clearance - ability to obtain and maintain. 

Desirable:

  • Previous experience providing support to Senior Executives.
